Plastic pollution is a slow-motion disaster for Africa's biodiversity and urban drainage systems. By establishing 12 collection hubs, we have successfully diverted over 1,200 tonnes of plastic (over 3 million bottles) that would have otherwise entered Lake Victoria, clogged settlement drains, or been burnt in open pits.
Our approach is carbon-negative. Every house built from upcycled plastic modules avoids the carbon emissions associated with traditional clay brick firing, which is a major driver of deforestation in regions like Mpigi.
Bottles Sealed Forever
Impact is not just about material diverted; it's about lives transformed. Through our buy-back centers, we have injected significant capital into marginalized urban settlements. Our baseline surveys show that 60% of our collectors use their income for school fees, and 25% have started secondary micro-enterprises.
We believe in radical transparency. Our impact is monitored through a multi-layered digital platform.
Every hub logs collection data in real-time, allowing us to track waste trends and optimize logistics.
Quarterly surveys with our 2,500+ collectors to measure socioeconomic shifts in their households.
Monitoring the thermal and structural performance of our eco-homes over 5, 10, and 20-year horizons.
Uganda alone faces a shortage of 2.4 million housing units. Our eco-housing program is a direct answer to this crisis. By building over 300 homes, we have sheltered more than 1,800 people in structures that are safer and more comfortable than anything they previously inhabited.
Our homes are significantly cooler during day-time peaks, reducing the risk of heat-stroke in vulnerable populations like the elderly and children.
Your partnership scales these numbers. Help us reach our 2030 goal of building 1,000+ homes and training 10,000+ youth.
